Intelliware has used and integrated a wide range of technologies over the years, but three common themes have emerged for those technologies that have lasted (and that we prefer to work with). As is the case with our process, the philosophies behind them share Lean Manufacturing principles:
- Keep it simple
- Keep it standard
- Keep it proven
- Use off-the-shelf where possible
- Test it to make sure it works
At the present time, these principles have driven us towards open-source, standards-based solutions, usually with Java as a core development language. However, our projects touch a vast array of different technologies in everything from cellphones and pill-dispensers through standard Windows-PC end-user applications, up to large scale Unix and mainframe server applications. We are experts in web applications of all kinds and high performance, mission critical, transaction processing systems.
We have experience with every major database, operating system and application server. We speak SOA, object-oriented, portable, layered, networked and distributed. If it needs code, we can probably build it for you. If we can't, we'll tell you.
