Remote Payment Authorizations

CPNI (formerly Cellbucks) had a vision to build a solution that would allow wireless device users to purchase goods and services over the cell phone network. CPNI needed to execute a Proof of Concept for this solution with only a limited budget and in a very short period of time.

Intelliware worked closely with the founders of CPNI to build and test an infrastructure that could support this new idea with great potential. The solution required creating a framework upon which the initial functionality of purchasing a soft drink from any vending machine could be launched while allowing for yet to be envisioned capability to be easily bolted on in the future.

Intelliware incorporated a number of open standards-based, emerging technologies to meet the challenge. After just a few weeks of testing and coding, the first can of coke ever 'dialed-in' dropped out of the machine without a hitch.

Beyond this initial use, CPNI has repurposed the underlying mobile payments gateway framework to provide a fully secure application to customers to authorize payments via their mobile or landline phone. Their leading edge technology can be used in different ways, at locations throughout the world. Once enrolled with the CPNI service, customers need only their mobile phones or landlines and their passwords to conveniently access a wide array of services.
